HONORS & AWARDS

If experience is the best educator, Madeline Morehouse has a doctorate in what she writes about in Code: 10-71.  She is passionate about her story and tells it in vivid detail.
Riveting and fast-paced, it is a timeless story of hope for all victims of violent crime, their families and friends.
Encouraged for years to write her story, Madeline suffered from PTSD from the horrific attack on her and waited until she could put her story into words with the clarity she knew it would take.
Madeline was featured in many news articles across the nation when her story broke and has appeared on Day and Date, The Montel Williams Show, Geraldo Rivera, Maury Povich, Jenny Jones, Hardcopy and was interviewed for Ladies Home Journal.  She has helped the Department of Corrections by speaking during the training of Prison Counselors, Probation Officers and Parole Officers.  She served two years on the Board Of Directors for Family and Friends of Missing Persons and Violent Crime Victims whose goals are to examine the criminal justice system, give assistance to families and friends of victims during times of grief and educating the public on the impact that violent crime has in our society.
Nominated by Edmonds and Lynnwood police departments, Madeline was awarded a Medal of Merit at the Snohomish County, WA Medal of Valor Ceremony for capturing the serial rapist and holding him for police.
